About the event
The LEAD project involves local farmers, villagers, and grassroots organizations promoting innovative methods for land restoration, agricultural techniques, and community collaboration to foster local communities' land restoration and welfare. The before-and-after impact monitoring shows a significant difference with the control areas. Eighty hectares of land area have regenerated vegetation, and the income derived from harvested grass is invested back into village development projects and regreening of other drylands in the village. The LEAD programs director, Eng. Njamasi S. Chiwanga will tell us more about this initiative.
